The Tigard Church of God is a bible based ministry offering everyone a place to be loved, learn, worship and service our Lord and Savior. We voluntarily affiliated with the Churches of God, Anderson, Indiana. Our statement of faith is based upon the Word of God, which means that we do our very best to live by His Word, serve the Lord and include those who are seeking to do the same.  

Within our worship you will find a blend of both Current Worship (modern music)  and Classic Worship (traditional music).  It is our goal and desire to build a ministry where the family may come and grow in the Lord together.  Our ministries currently include Adult ministries with a variety of opportunities for both older and younger adults, Youth Ministry which includes Jr. and Sr. High youth seeking to discover what it means to find Christ and serve Him,  Children’s Ministry where we reach out to the community to introduce them to Jesus and teach them His Word with love as well as service projects done throughout the year. We are always seeking for more and better ways to engage our local, national and international community as we allow the Holy Spirit to guide our every effort.

Some of our basic beliefs are: Unity among the believers ~ once we accept Jesus as Lord we are a part of His church and as such we accept all who are seeking to belong. Holiness of the worshiper ~  which means we are consistently searching for ways to allow the Lord to lead and direct our lives as we grow in Christ and seek to look more like Him and less like the world. The Great Commandment ~ Love God with your whole self and love your neighbors as yourself. The Scripture tells us this is the sum of the Law and the Prophets. Great Commission ~ To go and make disciples is the divine privilege and responsibility given to each of us. We champion the work of evangelism and discipleship in our own neighborhood, as well as the supporting and sending out  international and home missionaries to places beyond our individual reach (Matt 28:19–20). The Trinity ~ Though difficult for the human mind to fully comprehend, our one God expresses himself in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity serves a unique role to bring God’s glory and accomplish His purposes in the world (Gen 1:26; 2 Cor 13:14). The Kingdom of God ~ The rule and reign of God is a present reality to be embraced and experienced today. His kingdom is not of this world, and will therefore never be about earthly politics. As children of God, the spiritual riches of the King of kings are ours too claim and steward as we preach the good news of the kingdom to the world (Luke 17:20–21). 

We offer small group classes (TCOG and You) twice a year to learn more about who we are for those interested and participating in this ministry.
